A full visual of the Bakugaiden V anime

Bomberman B-Daman Bakugaiden (Jap: ボンバーマンビーダマン爆外伝, Bonbāman Bīdaman Bakugaiden) is the very second iteration of the B-Daman toy franchise following the Super Bomberman series. First introduced in August 1995, the merchandise line-up lasted to 1999 spanning up to 5 different seasons.

Overview[]

The series emphasizes the B-Daman toys as anthropomorphic characters and armor mecha to which the B-Daman characters pilots. Subsiding from the Super B-Daman series which was released on the same year, the series is focused strongly towards the retro mecha theme of the protagonists piloting robots to save the world. In further symphysis, the Bakugaiden toyline details the robot toys' combination gimmicks while detailing B-Da shooting types in coalescence.

Most of the story is detailed in the product's instruction packaging and illustrations while later detailed by other media-mix projects such as manga and anime.

List of Seasons[]

B-Daman Bomberman Bakugaiden (ビーダマンボンバーマン爆外伝)[]

Bomberman B-Daman Bakugaiden III (ボンバーマンビーダマン爆外伝III)[]

Released in 1997 following the second season where the series is not linked to any of the Bomberman games and focused on its own storyline. The story is themed as a space opera plot, where the B-Daman characters ride armoured fighters called "Bomber Fighters" with interchangeable equip parts.

The series is emphasized in the first 2 episodes of the Bakugaiden anime titled as the "Legend arc" (or also the "Planet Emblem arc").

B B-Daman Bakugaiden IV (Bビーダマン爆外伝 IV)[]

The B-da shooting toys are called "B-Da Armors" with a separable sphere cockpit system called "B-Da Capsules" to which the Armors can shift between "Ride Mode" for mobile mode and "Armor Mode" for combat. Starting from the series introduced the "Metal B-Da" gimmick as a substitution for the regular marbles and new shooting features.

The series is emphasized in the rest of the Bakugaiden anime after the first 2 episodes dubbed as the "B-Da City arc".
