B-Daman Wiki

Chrome Raven (Japanese: クロムレヴァン, Kuromu Revaan) is the second B-Daman in the Battle B-Daman anime (third in the manga) that belongs to Gray Michael Vincent. It is a Control-Type (Rapid Fire-Type in Japan) Blaster Core System B-Daman. It was released in Japan in August 2004, and sold for 680円.

Skeleton and Armor

Chrome Raven features a metallic gray skeleton, to which all the armor pieces can be attached.

Head Armor and Visor: Raven Visor

This part is a redesign of Chrome Zephyr's Chrome Visor and Twin Fin Sight, with a singular yellow line visor in place of the two eyes.

Shoulder Armor: Chrome Shoulder

A new version of the previous Shoulder Armor from Chrome Zephyr, consisting of broad, black shoulder guards with red tips, with the J.B.A. initials. On the front of the left Shoulder reads "ZERO2" with "Battle B-Daman Zero 2 System" below. (NOTE: The Zero 2 System is the Asian name for the Blaster Core System)

Foot Armor: Chrome Foot

The pieces of the Chrome Foot are black with red accents, and boot-like in design, with the J.B.A. initials and CAUTION labels.

Wing Armor: One Hand Wing

The upgraded form of the original One Hand Booster, the new One Hand Wing has a pair of foldable wings that can be adjusted to either act as handle bars or stabilizers on the floor of the playing field.

Trigger Armor: Long Extended Trigger

As the name suggests, it is a longer version of the Extended Trigger, long enough to give the effect of a short-stroke trigger.

Roller Core

This Rapid Fire/Control-Type Core features two Hold Parts, on the end of each being a roller, to smoothen out shots that are fired.

Other Versions

  • Chrome Raven Crystal Ver. - Tournament prize. Clear black skeleton and armor with a yellow Roller Core and Trigger.
  • Chrome Raven DX Customize Set Ver. - Chrome Levan DX Customize Set
  • Chrome Raven Dark Blue & White Ver. - Tournament prize. Armor is dark blue with a white IBA skeleton and a red Roller Core.

Battle B-Daman

Chrome Raven was created as the third Blaster Core System B-Daman. It was created as a successor for Chrome Zephyr by Bull Borgnine because it was becoming obsolete. During Gray's battle with News, Chrome Zephyr was damaged but not yet destroyed, before it could get to that point Bull stepped in and gave Chrome Raven to Gray. With amazing new performance and handling, Gray was even able to beat Yamato while training.
