  • Please stop antagonizing 1RisingDracyan1. Don't get me wrong, I'm not taking sides here; take a look at my wall where Rising has posted, and you can see all the points I made about all your edits being correct, except for Left=Starion; it's already stated to be a Rapid-Fire type right at the start of the article, we don't need it in the Trivia section too. Apart from that, I thank you for clearing up Rising's mistakes on various articles, the Wiki depends on people like that.

But please, I ask that you take a Wiki-etiquette approach to the whole situation; be friendly, flexible, focused on the task and work together to achieve our goals. Whenever someone, whether it be Rising or anyone else, adds bad information or makes a bad edit, please don't attack them for it, and instead think of their edit in good faith; Rising is also trying to help out on this Wiki like all of us, and they meant well with their edit, it's not like they're intentionally vandalising the place. If we're too harsh on new members, it just chases them away and the Wiki ends up losing valuable information. Take a look at what they've done and consider why they have done so; always try and find a way to combine information, rather than take information from one person only. That's the whole point of a Wiki after all. I just ask that you don't be so blunt with Rising, and actually look at his edits (in the case of Left=Starion anyway) to see if it was ok or not, and then make any necessary changes. None of this should ever be personal; just strive to make the Wiki as good as it can be :)

Edit: I can see what you're having to face regarding Rising being a difficult member. I sympathise with you in that sense but again please try and be nice to them ^__^

I'll try not to facepalm too much...

    • How do I mute something? I'm flooded with notifications with you and DreamerGirl talking to each other.

        Loading editor
    • Go to the very first post I or Dreamergirl made and on the top right of the comment, should be a blue button saying 'Following'. If you hover over it, it should say unfollow. I think that should do the trick... if not, ask Alex ^_^

        Loading editor
    • Clicked "Unfollowed". Sannkyu~

    • Okay, serious mode time.

I think you should keep Rising in check. It is hard to undo his edits since he undos my reverts. Needless to say, if he wants to change info the way it make sense to him, it would be suggested to edit on another abandoned B-Daman Wiki or make a new one.

    • Since the fall-out on my wall, I've been monitoring ever edit he's made, and made corrections if necessary, so I'm not sure where you're coming from at the moment. Link me to a specific article?

        Loading editor
    • I meant in general.

        Loading editor
    • He does alright for the most part, I've only had to follow up on a few edits. I don't think it's much of a problem really

        Loading editor
    • Yes, not much of a problem but he is basing his edits on whether he feels "it doesn't make sense" to him or "I feel like it is unnecessary".

I am residing in Google+ for my time on the internet nowadays and I'm pretty much lazy to check edits since everything looks like it's in order. Same goes for the Beyblade Wiki, though, I'll come to their chat to hang out every once in a while or so. But that is regardless of Rising's habit of basing his edits on what he feels is unnecessary.

So I leave the vandal patrol up to you. Ja ne~

        Loading editor
    • Hmm that is a fair point, I have seen him do what you mean. I'll leave a comment for him regarding that~

    • //Reads the conversation between you and Rising //Looks at Rising's reply

Why do I feel like he didn't read the whole message you sent him?

    • One of another points and the last is that he needs to replying to old comments. Seriously. It is getting quite annoying. If it is a question, the person who asked that question 1-2 years ago may already know that now. Other comments in articles in general just annoy me.

        Loading editor
    • I can't possibly understand how you got to that conclusion </sarcasm>. #whyme :P Nah, I kid, I kid! Don't worry, we'll get there soon enough! Patience is no longer a virtue, but a talent, and one I enjoy practicing from time to time~

Hmm I do agree on you with that one, grave digging drives me up the wall too, having worked on forums for too long. However, I don't object to having a reply to someone who's asked a question regarding a problem they have, even if it was a few years ago. The reason for that is that someone else may have recently stumbled on the same problem, and while the original poster might have figured out a solution, they didn't post what the solution was, which can be frustrating for the newcomer. So it's nice to leave the solution posted just for future comers to have something there for them if they encounter the same problem (this always happens to me with IT related stuff; someone had the same problem as you like 2 years ago, obviously found the solution but no one ever posted the solution!!).

Also, try to give Rising the benefif of the doubt when it comes to his edits; I saw you reverted one on Gunlock=Wolg where he added 'Emblem Charge System' instead of 'Emblem Charge'. If you take a gander at the other eS articles, they all say 'Emblem Charge System' and even the Zero system ones say 'Zero System' (yeah I had to double check myself on this edit too :P).

    • What I'm saying is, the people who stumbled into a problem may have found a solution. I think it is best to disable comments on articles. But that is Mana or Ed's job to disable comments.

And about the Gunlock=Wolg article... Merr... I'm too lazy to check the other articles, so his edits are correct for now.

But hey, many people don't quite understand my logic. In fact, no one does. :P

    • Since I was mention (repeatedly) I am going to take that as an invite. Bluesonic1 brought up some good points that I wasn't even thinking about. When I see a comment I reply without looking at the age of the comment, but you shouldn't disable comments, if you have a question about something you should be able to post a comment about it as well as leave a personal opinion about it. The only justifed reason for disabling comments is if people are cursing or having an argument about it and that should just be for that one page not ever single artical.

    • Both of you have valid points, but neither you have taken into consideration what I've said :/ Rising, I've already linked you to the definiton of gravedigging elsewhere; it's rude and frowned upon to reply on 'dead' comment threads, ones that people haven't replied to in usually more than a month (that's the official definiton's time-frame anyway).

HOWEVER the point I was trying to make, which Shadow you didn't get either... "the people who stumbled into a problem may have found a solution" Yes, the original poster may have found their solution, but no one's replied with the solution. What's a newcomer who, had nothing to do with this conversation, who arrives almost a year later but with the same problem, going to do when they read the thread and realise that the OP probably solved it on their own but no one actually left the solution. It's extremely frustrating!!

If it's a question to a problem that someone has asked, I think it's valid to post a solution IF no one else has posted one in the thread. The thread can then stay there, now with a solution, for anyone new who has the problem to read and find an answer to their problems. This also then saves that person from creating duplicate threads on the board, trying to find a solution to a problem that was already posted about.

That aside, @Shadow, if you're too lazy to research edits you're going to make to articles, then what applies to Rising applies to you as well; don't make edits or reverts! Do your research first please, both of you~

    • The reasearch about most of the articals I make is from observing things and looking at reviews as well as seeing for my self since my best friend has every b-daman ever made. Reasearch about something from the anime I usally make after I just watched the episode.

        Loading editor
    • Obviously you're not observing very well considering the edit made to Basara's page where you removed the drummer information despite a screenshot being on the article of him playing the drums. Reviews made by others are SUBJECTIVE. You're then just adding information to an article about how other people feel! It's not official information Rising. If your best friend is the one with every B-Daman ever made, why not allow them onto the Wiki to add their information and photos? If they have every B-Daman ever made, that would be a huge source of information for the Wiki!

This is the other major point I'm trying to make with the tips I'm giving you; if you'd stop arguing with everyone, and understand what constructive criticism is, you can become a much better editor. You're not listening to me, you're just arguing against me, despite the fact I have solid disprovable evidence to back up the points I've previously made.

    • The reason I can't do that is because he refused to get involed on fourms he will let me use the photos however.

    • How old is he by the way? It's just interesting to hear of someone who owns every B-Daman ever.

        Loading editor
    • He's 16 but he gets most of them from ebay and he has a brother who is 27 who gave him all his old ones.

        Loading editor
    • He must have some really good contacts in Japan too to have collected all the Bomberman B-Daman!

    • We are going off track here.

I noticed Rising hasn't replied anything about what you said, Blue. About how he researches.

Rising, just RESEARCH. Through the internet. Through the toy packagings. Just not: "Oh, I feel like <<Insert Random B-Daman>> should be a <<Insert Random Type>>".

    • Thats pretty much what I am doing.
